19 of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his initial trophy for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a challenging season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in particular - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former coach Cervara.
Now collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's first trophy after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from that period of 2023.
The win also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one championships at 21 different events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had failed in his last six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
His retrieving strategy and regular emotional displays on court had caused some to wonder if his skill to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to come to the net and play assertively, reinforced by an better serve.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky opponent, winning 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
The pair swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his initial ATP Tour title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
The opponent rescued 4 early-game break points in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, he earned the title with a point at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
